The name "dandelion" comes from the French-derived "Dent-de-Lioun," which means "lion's tooth." The plant is named for the deeply-toothed leaves of the plant, but also evokes the plant's obstinate refusal to be eradicated. Created for all my dandelion ladies, who put their roots down and refuse to be moved.
